We feel the work we do and the space we live in is a privilege and a blessing. Making it accessible to others is our way of giving back to the community. In order to encourage and reward our customers for participating, we created the program CHARLIE BUCKS. Charles D. Buck (1937-2015) was Sharon's father. His character, work ethic, and natural gift for management made him exceptionally successful and popular in his community. He was born and raised on a dairy farm in Jefferson, NY and, except for a few years studying Agriculture at Cornell, he spent his entire life working to protect the rural way of life for his neighbors and family. He dedicated himself to his community through many years of service as the Jefferson Town Supervisor, Catskill Watershed Corporation Board of Directors, Montgomery/Otsego/Schoharie Association (MOSA) Solid Waste and Recycling Transfer Station Program Board of Directors, Schoharie County Maple Festival Board of Directors, Harpersfield Stevens Rural Cemetery Association President, Jefferson Historical Society President, and Town Councilman. He never expected more from others than he was willing to give himself.
